Plasma Rich in Growth Factors (or PRGF) is a regenerative treatment that uses your own plasma and platelets to stimulate healing and cellular growth. PRGF can be applied in various ways – it can be used by dentists to help improve the recovery time after treatments. We can use PRGF to help restore the skin to a more youthful appearance through injections.

What does treatment involve?

This treatment is sometimes called the ‘vampire’ treatment as your blood is needed in the first step. A sample is taken from your arm – just as you would expect in a normal blood test. We numb the injection sites if necessary before injecting the plasma into your skin. Altogether, the treatment shouldn’t take longer than a couple of hours (the longest step of the treatment involves the centrifuge – not the treatment itself!).

You should start to see the effects of the treatment after 24 hours.
